Please take a few moments to read the sections below and learn how we may use personal data. You should also show this notice to anyone whose personal data you may disclose to us.

We retain the data in My Boat for seven years after conclusion of our relationship with you.

Marketing

The information you upload to your My Boat profile will only be used for marketing if you have consented and subscribed in to receive our marketing communications.  

If you have opted into marketing, the lawful basis will be consent.

If you have opted in to receive marketing material from GJW Direct or group companies (which includes any company of whom the ultimate parent company is Munich Re Specialty Group Limited), we will contact you from time to time by telephone, post, newsletter, e-mail or SMS to keep you informed with news, products or services, including but not limited to boat insurance together with carefully selected offers or promotions which we feel may be of interest to you. Other carefully selected companies may also contact you by post.

We may also monitor or record calls, e-mails, SMS messages or other communications in accordance with UK law, and in particular for:
