How do I create a MyBoat account?

To create a MyBoat account click any of the ‘sign up’ buttons on the homepage. You will then need to provide the email address that you wish to be linked to your account. Once you have inputted an email address you will be asked for your name, and asked to choose a password. Then click ‘Register’. A verification email will be sent to your chosen email address, open the email and click the verification link. You are now set up to use MyBoat!

Do I have to be a GJW Direct customer to use MyBoat?

No. MyBoat is a free service available to anyone, no matter who you are insured with.  

I’ve lost/forgotten my password, what do I do?

To reset your password simply click on the ‘Forgotten Password?’ link on the login page. You will then be asked for your username/email address. A verification email with a link to reset your password will then be emailed to you.   

I want to make a midterm adjustment to my policy, can I do it in MyBoat?

No. To make any changes to your policy insurance details please contact GJW Direct. 

If I amend my boat details in MyBoat will it affect my policy?

No. Any information that you input, update or change within MyBoat will not update your policy insurance details. MyBoat is merely a tool to help you organise all of your boating needs into one place.

How do I use my discounts codes?

The discounts available may be redeemed in differing ways dependent on the type of code they are. Some will be a written code that needs to be copy and pasted into the promotions box of the chosen website, usually during the checkout process. Other discounts can be redeemed by clicking on the URL link provided for that specific discount.

I want to change the news stories in my feed?

On the ‘News Articles’ page of MyBoat you can alter the type of news articles that you can see by changing the various drop down filters to return only specific news types, from select dates. If you are looking for a specific news article then you can also utilise the ‘keywords’ search field for a more focussed search.  

I want to turn my email alerts on / off?

You can alter your email alert settings in the ‘Personal Details’ section of MyBoat. Simply click on the ‘Email Options’ tab at the top of the page. Here you will be able to choose whether or not you receive email alerts, this can be changed at any time should you wish to revert your options at a later date.  

I’ve sold my boat can I delete my boat profile?

If you no longer own or simply don’t wish to display a boat in your list of vessels then the profile can be easily deleted from the list. All you need to do is find the boat profile you wish to remove, and click the delete boat icon on the right hand side of the profile.

How do I add a new boat to my list of vessels?

To add a new boat to your list all you need to do is complete a short information form, accessed by clicking on the ‘Add new boat’ button in the top right of the MyBoat frontpage. From there simply fill in the fields with the relevant information in relation to your boat and click ‘save’ at the bottom.

How can I upload and manage images of my boats?

Your gallery of images for each specific boat can be accessed by clicking the ‘View boat images’ link on the right hand side of each boat profile. To upload an image simply click ‘upload a vessel image’ and select your desired image from its relevant location. To delete an image from your gallery, click in the top right hand corner of the chosen image.
